" Humbleness and Devoting"

Acts 2:42 - They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. ( NIV)

The new belivers are now doing fellowship and starting their new walk with faith, but they are not doing it alone. The new belivers humbled and devoted themselves to the apostles teachings and fellowship. Because when Peter was telling them " The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the day of the Lord, and everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved." The new believers who were not Christians at the time said " they did not know how to be saved , they did not know how to do it". Peter told them to " repent and get baptized" , so majority of the people repented for their sins and got baptized. The new belivers want to know more, to know how there life is going to change and learn how to follow and learn the teaching of Jesus Christ. So they needed to humble and devote to the apostles teachings.

When Jesus Christ walked on this earth, doing His Fathers will. He did not just want to sit with people who were Jews, or who were good people. Jesus sat with people who did adultery, were lame ( disabled) , tax collectors, worshiped gods ( false idols), Jesus touched people who had leprosy ( terrible disease), and Jesus lived among them. God the Father knew how to get the peoples attention, God the Fathe decided to have His Son born in a stable, having His Son raised in a humble life style.

How im going to apply this verse to my life is that i need to humble myself, i need to devote myself to the teachings of people God brought into my life. How im going to do that is to change my heart, and this verse helped me in the process Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by renewing of your mind. thwen you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is , His goo, pleasing and perfect will.".
The other verse that helped me was Romans 12:3 - " Do not think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you."
